India cricket will play their first home match against South Africa on September 15. The teams will play tee sets of T20I, ODI, and Test match. The test match will also begin South Africa’s participation in the World Test Championship.
During their West Indies tour, India won the matches in all formats. Head coach Ravi Shastri said that he wants to keep India on top of the scoreboards until his term ends.
‘The vision is to keep the consistency level going, It will be a team in transition, and one has to keep an eye out for the youth and also keep an eye on developing the bench strength as far as batting and bowling goes across all three formats’, he said.
‘We are playing at home, and it is the World Test Championship, so now there is even more reason on why you have to play the way you should. There are now points to be accumulated. We are the No.1 team in the world, and we have been for the last three years, so there is pride at stake as well’, he added.
Marketing Executive Vishkar Chaudary said he is excited to give cricket updates to fans.
‘This is India’s first home match. Everyone is excited to see how they will handle the Proteas.’
